I’m sure you already watched the “Scarface” (1983) movie with Al Pacino in the lead role. But if you haven’t now is the perfect time.
The house called “El Fureidis” meaning ‘tropical paradise’ is one of the Montecito’s most celebrated area and the most visited one.
Being known as a legendary provenance among the years it was the place where many memorable tenants and visitors such as Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill, Charles Chaplin and John F. Kennedy spend their valuable time.
Designed by Goodhue this is truly a place with a lot of history behind.
Over the last few years the house was owned by a Russian businessman who put a lot of effort and money into renovating the house.
With only $35 millions the four bedrooms, nine bathrooms and ten acres of gardens the house can be yours now.
Want more interesting facts about the house? The area was founded in 1906 by James Walden Gillespie. He wanted a place with a Mediterranean landscape and climate and he founded here.
It was built with strong materials such as steel-reinforced concrete because Goodhue wanted the building to last.
Although the house was renovated the attention for details wasn’t left behind.
Most of the original fixtures and decors were kept and some other were restored by giving them a modern look.
It also has a second floor with three guest suites for your friends.
The conversation room has a Byzantine-style alcove crowned with 18-foot-high central dome decorated with hand painted floral print, gold and 24k gold leaf designed after the church of St. Jon Lateran in Rome.
The other areas of the estate were also covered in unique print and décor.
