Ryan Gosling became famous when he appeared alongside Rachel McAdams in the annoyingly sentimental but somehow irresistible romantic comedy The Notebook.
Ryan is the type of actor loved by everybody and despite that, he still had to accept the relatively low fee of $1,000 per week for his brilliant role in the drama Half Nelson.
In the drama, Half Nelson, Gosling played an inner city teacher who befriends one of his students.
The film was Ryan’s opportunity to show the audience a different side of him. With the entire low fee and everything, Ryan still performance was nominated at an Academy Award for Best Actor.
