While drifters tend to follow certain patterns, we were thinking that what better way to run and hide than to follow the Mississippi river and start fresh in a decent city in the South.
Taking some precautions, means that we stopped in Mid-South, more exactly in Memphis, where drifting means that you come and mind your own business.
But we picked it due to the fact that the place is perfect for someone to disappear, blend in and keep their mouth shut, because this is a pretty violent city, with a crime rate that exceeds normal.
So who would look for you in a city where almost 10 percent of the population is committing a burglary, robbery or assault, people watching their back, rather than talking to strangers or asking about your past.
