This Arabesque Tourbillon Watch Is Worth $217,000 & It Can Be Yours!
Have you seen the Arabesque Tourbillon watch?
Here at Ealuxe we love watches, and if a watch is as great as this one, we must really talk about it.
And today we have chosen to talk about the Arabesque Tourbillon watch made by Yvan Arpa’s Artya.
‘Yvan Arpa stands as one of the most audacious and avant–garde watch creators alive.’
‘After having made a significant contribution to some of the biggest success stories in the watch industry, in 2010 he launched his own Brand, called ArtyA.’
‘The man plays by his own rules, creating art pieces that simply cannot fit into any existing category of watchmaking. Each piece is either numbered or unique, blending audacity with creativity in a disruptive way – very provocatively so, on many occasions. No one in this very conservative industry has managed to move so much in so little time.’
‘The company is 100% independent, with a highly responsive team of fewer than ten people. ArtyA has its own manufacture, something very few Swiss Brands have. The Brand and its manufacture are based in central Geneva.’
They are one of those companies that seem to have nothing to worry about because no one is good enough to be their competitor. They seem to be in a league of their own and this time they really have outdone themselves.
Recently Artya has unvield a one-off timepiece that’s totally worthy of being called a piece of art.
This exquisite watch comes decorated with hand-engraving Arabesque and it is called Artya Arabesque Tourbillon.
The reason why we chose to talk about this watch is that such timepieces are extremely rare, even for a watchmaker like Artya.
From where the company got its inspiration?
The watch was inspired by the Wild West and it looks strangely attractive with its square case, that’s easily curved.
The Arabesque Tourbillon looks like a western belt buckle engraved by someone of Arab descent and aside from the engraved Arabesque motifs, the titanium case makes everything looks united.
Where do you put the fact that the titanium case has been also embellished with 24k gold?
That’s why it took a master engraver about 100 hours to fully engrave the 40 mm wide by 52.5 mm tall Arabesque Tourbillon’s case.
Including to the problem, the chisels used to do the engraving lasted simply 2 minutes every. Meaning the engraver wanted to undergo a lot of instruments simply to get this watch proper.
The interior of the watch is a manually wound, flying tourbillon-based movement including a 72-hour power reserve.
And unlike other watches the time isn’t displayed directly in the center of the dial which was also engraved, while the Arabesque was attached to a black crocodile strap.
Because it was hooked up to a black crocodile strap, the Artya Arabesque Tourbillon watch is a piece distinctive, which means only one can be produced.
Yes, the watch is true piece of modern-day art, which is why it costs $217,000. You can purchase it from here.
You think this watch is better looking than the most expensive timepieces in the world?
