9. Powered by V12 Engine
The 1,000 bhp comes from the powerful V12 engine. This engine has the potency to achieve a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio. The AM-RB 001 is estimated to weigh around 1,000 kg, hence the 1,000 bhp.
If you are not familiar with cars’ engine, here is a little enlightenment. V engine is a common internal combustion engine. It is called “V” because of the shape formed by the alignment of its cylinders and pistons.
V12 is a V engine with 12 cylinders and 12 pistons. It is so powerful that the engine is commonly used in heavy trucks, large diesel vehicles, tanks, and of course race cars.
This engine will be backed by other spectacular specs, such as Newey’s own race-spec transmission which he made from scratch. It is one of the Red Bull Advanced Technologies’ babies.
