Equipped with the powerful V12 engine, it should come as no surprise that the AM-RB 001 will produce the best power. In cars, power translates into speed. Thus, this car definitely has the potency to be the fastest road car ever.
Nowadays, most regular road cars’ top speed does not exceed 120 mph. The current Formula 1 car reaches over 200 mph. This year, Williams’ Valtteri Bottas recorded the fastest speed of 2016’s Formula 1 car in European Grand Prix qualifying. It was 235 mph.
So, how fast will this Aston Martin HyperCar go? Newey estimated that it will go up to 220 mph. That is incredibly fast compared to other road cars.
Most super-fast road cars nowadays go up to around 215-218 mph with the limiter on. Newey’s biggest homework is to design this fast car with maximum safety and reliability.
