The Outbreak 2014 100 Years From WWI Royal Mint Coin
An important date in the history of the modern world is the year 1914 when World War I started.
To commemorate properly the outbreak of the War and 100 years from the beginning of the roughest war in history, the British released a unique coin.
Created with the help of the Royal Mint they created a 20 euro limited edition currency to honor the troop which were going to France to fight for freedom.
Depicting a triumphant scene where a British figure with a lion watches over ships going to battle.
The coin was created in a small amount only 250,000 have been made and to maintain the legacy the coin was depicted on the other side with a portrait of the Queen like all other British coins.
