6Mythos – Greece
Mythos Brewery, a subsidiary of Carlsberg since 2008, is the 2nd largest Greek brewery and also imports non-Greek beers into the country. They’re famous for the awesome Mythos beer.
Introduced in 1997, Mythos comes in different sizes and shapes, as in 300 ml and 500 ml bottles and cans.
The beverage contains 4.7% alcohol, and it’s light straw-colored. And of course, you can choose from Mythos, Mythos Max, Mythos Radler and Mythos Red.
Some reviews about this beer and why this beer is a good choice for the World Cup :
1) ‘Another surprise, never thought I would be loving a Greek beer, but this is a good smooth and refreshingly tasty beer. Appearance is good, a nice clear pale yellow beer with a nice head developing but it does dissipate quickly.
Good lacing though. No clear smell was found, maybe slightly sweet and a small hint of cooked corn and grassy hops. Taste was sweet, no bitterness, was fairly smooth to drink, and a teeny bit strong too. Recommended.’
2) ‘A typical warm country lager. Careful malt flavor, not as sweet as some of its cousins and with a farily good hop bitterness. Does what it is supposed to do, quench your thirst on a beautiful Greek summer day.’
