9.Oily Fish
Number 9 on our list is the oily fish.
Don’t worry about the “oily” part, because it’s not a bad thing. The essential fatty acids cannot be produced by the body, so this is where the oily fish kicks in, to help our bodies obtain the acids.
As you probably know, omega-3 fats are unbelievable healthy, and they mostly occur in naturally oily fish and are known as EPA or DHA. Low DHA levels are linked to a higher risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease and memory loss.
Oily fish contain these omega-3 fats in a ready-made form, making the body able to use them easily. The main sources of oily fish are salmon, trout, mackerel, herring, or sardines. They are good for the healthy brain function, the heart and joints.
The easiest way of enjoying some oily fish is by eating sardines. They are great as a rich in carbohydrates, vitamins and protein snack.
