9.Anthony Bourdain
The next top chef from the US is Anthony Bourdain.
Famous for his best-seller book Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, Bourdain is well known for being the host of several TV shows, such as The Layover and No Reservations.
Even though Bourdain is no longer formally employed as a chef, he still maintains a good relationship with Brasserie Les Halles, where he was an executive chef.
Bourdain’s best-selling books and articles from newspapers and magazines have made him famous, along with the CNN show which he hosted, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown.
He was described by Les Halles as their:
chef-at-large.
