Born on September 14, 1973, Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones, better known as Nas, is an American rapper, actor, and the son of jazz musician Olu Dara.
Since 1994, the rapper has released 8 platinum and multi-platinum albums, selling over 25 million records worldwide.
Although Nas appeared in fewer films, his performances were praised. Among those films include 1998 ‘Belly’, 1999 ‘In Too Deep’, 2001 ‘Ticker’, 2010 ‘Hawaii Five-0’ and his latest film, 2013 ‘Black Nativity’.
Music and acting aren’t the only things that Nas is good at.
Aside from those, he is an entrepreneur through his own record label (Def Jam Recordings), magazine publishing (he’s ‘Mass Appeal Magazine’s associate publisher), retail sneaker store (owns a Fila sneaker store).
