Born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1969, Shawn Corey Carter, known by his stage name Jay-Z ranked #2 on our top list of the best dressed men in hip-hop.
In late 1980s, Jay-Z loved to wear hi-top fade, chains and 4-finger rings. Clearly isn’t the same Jay-Z we know now.
His bank account allowed him to spend large amounts of money on clothes.
He changed his wardrobe, and chose T-shirt or hoodies from some of the best streetwear brands, including Pharrell’s Billionaire Boys Club.
In 2009, the rapper had his ‘All Black Everything’ stage and the following year, he tried a military-inspired style, with rocking cargo shorts and military hat among his favorites.
As we said before, money isn’t a problem for Jay-Z, and in 2011 he got a new accessory, a very rare Cartier Panthere ring, worth $24.000.
The ring was followed by a diamond Cartier pin, a Lanvin chain, a Rafaello & Co. chain and a custom Dries van Noten brooch pin.
Between 2012 and 2013, the superstar moved up to coats. He was spotted wearing a Simon Spurr coat, an Alexander Wang coat with leather sleeves and a $4.580 Balmain Pink Punk calfskin leather jacket.
Between 1998 and 2000, Jay-Z wore jerseys and T-shirts with Chicago Bulls, New York Jets, New Jersey Nets were included.
