7. Holiday Hopper
Do you know that green cocktail that Raj Koothrappali from the American sitcom ‘The Big Bang Theory’ always drinks?
Called Grasshopper, the cocktail is a sweet, mint-flavored drink. The name is derived from its green color which is provided by the creme de menthe.
A Holiday Grasshopper is really just a holiday version of the Grasshopper, a Grasshopper with a twist. Therefore ice cream is optional.
This drink is a sweet mint cocktail with a hint of melon.
Ingredients:
1) 0.5 oz. creme de menthe;
2) 1 oz. Midori Melon liqueur;
3) 0.5 oz. creme de cacao;
4) mint leaves and raspberry for garnish.
Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake well and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with raspberries and mint leaves.
As you can see, we didn’t mention about the ice cream in the recipe because let’s be honest. Who wants to ruin a drink with ice cream?
