N4. THE RED KEEP- KINGS LANDING
The Red Keep is both capital of Westeros therefore the home to its ruling kings. Settled in the capital city of King’s Landing on the geographic area of the continent, the Red Keep is associate intricate complex of towers, halls, keeps, and residences.
Secret tunnels connect everything below ground, and shining towers stretching to the sky guard the castle from above. The tombs of the Targaryen family in the Red Keep house both the human remains of past kings and big skulls of the dragons they accustomed forge and hold the castle’s great Iron Throne.
King’s Landing could be a treacherous city, and therefore the Red Keep is not any exception. The castle’s four levels of dungeons, each a lot of painful than the last, are a cruel allegory to Dante’s circles of hell.
Series hero Ned Stark was left to rot in the third level, the black cells, before his shocking beheading in season one, and the fourth level is reported to be even worse, with torture and human experimentation.
If you’re a king with plenty of enemies you wish to impress, the Red Keep is an ideal home. Though given the long and bloody history of Westeros, occupants of the Red Keep tend to be terribly temporary. Don’t sign a long lease.
