Tavares was founded over 200 years ago, back in 1784 and is located in the historical Chiado district. This has been the favorite place of the capital’s cultural elite over the years, from intellectuals and politicians to famous artists.
The interior is absolutely astounding, with crystal chandeliers and Venetian mirrors that will take you back in time.
The kitchen is directed by the famous Maitre d’ and Sommelier, Arlindo Madeira and serves traditional Portuguese gastronomy with strong French influences.
