This lovely fine dining place has been accommodated in a restored mansion in Fira since 1991.
The place offers panoramic views of Caldera and if you’re there just in time to see the sunset, you are lucky.
Sphinx’s owner is also its Chef, George Psychas.
He creates Mediterranean cuisine which showcases the best of Santorini’s products and the freshest of the Aegean’s Sea fish.
The restaurant features 2 dining rooms, built in the traditional way, and 3 verandas, as well as 1 private veranda for special occasions.
Based on extra virgin Cretan olive oil, the cuisine offers a wide list of dishes, and the best are the traditional Greek mousaka served in a clay pot, Souvlaki with tuna, Black risotto with cuttlefish ink and spinach, and Seafood soup with vegetables, shellfish and shrimp.
