Located on several campuses spread across Phoenix, Arizona, Arizona State University is right under the sun. As proof, their mascot, Sparky the Sun Devil.
ASU has won 23 national collegiate team championships in baseball, men’s golf, women’s golf, gymnastics, softball, men’s indoor track, women’s indoor track, men’s outdoor track, women’s outdoor track and wrestling.
Their pride is the athletic team, the Sun Devils, which is also the nickname used to refer to students and alumni of the ASU. Speaking of alumni, Jimmy Kimmel is one of the many well-known alumni’s to this university.
The athletic team is not their only pride. There’s also the ASU Sun Devil Marchind Band, which was created in 1915.
Known as the Pride of the Southwest, it was the first marching band in the Pac-12 to be awarded the Sudler Trophy.
