Punta del Este comes hand in hand with Punta del Diablo, only this one is considered the ‘Miami Beach of Uruguay’.
Located in the Maldonado Department of southeastern Uruguay, Punta del Este is home to the only Conrad Hotel in South America, famous for its casino.
So there’s one thing why this is one of the best places in Uruguay.
This city and resort is best known for its beaches and nightlife. Last but not least, here you’ll find the icon of Punta del Este, called Casapueblo. And we’re about to talk about it on the following pages.
While you’re at the beach, don’t forget to take a picture of the famous ‘Mano de Punta del Este’, meaning ‘Hands of Punta del Este’, a famous sculpture by Chilean artist Mario Irarrazabal, depicting 5 human fingers emerging from sand.
