Founded in 1902 inside the campus of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, J. Press was the first brand from the United States to be licensed in Japan upon entering the Asian market, in 1974. The company is now owned by Onward Kashiyama, a Japanese clothing company.
Jacobi press, the company’s founder was really inspired when he launched his business, J.Press now having branches in important cities such as Washington, D.C., New York and Cambridge in Massachusetts.
