One of the best selling luxurious polo shirt brands is Vineyard Vines.
Founded in 1998, Vineyard Vines started out in Martha’s Vineyard, and belongs to brothers Shep and Ian Murray.
The company is currently based in Stamford, and has expanded a lot since its launch. It now has 40 stores, 8 outlets and 97 retailers, and it no longer sells just ties, adding more elements such as: polo shirts, belts, hats, shorts, bags, and others.
The company started when the Murray brothers got tired of their corporate jobs and began making neckties, so “they didn’t have to wear them”. They sold 800 ties in just one weekend in Martha’s Vineyard. That surely is impressive!
