Whenever you visit Germany, make sure you try their famous Currywurst, one of the best street foods around the world.
The fast food dish is made of steamed, then fried pork sausage, that can be either whole, or occasionally cut into slices. The sausage is seasoned with tomato sauce topped with curry powder, or curry ketchup.
Famous as a take away food, or on children’s menu, the currywurst is usually served with French Fries or bread rolls.
And just to imagine how popular they are, it’s estimated that around 800 million currywursts are eaten every year in Germany, 70 million in Berlin alone. So make sure you try it, people must love it for a good reason!
