5. Snow (Sales Revenue: $20.8 billion)
Chinese market is indeed one of the best to sell to. After we saw some Chinese beers earlier, we cross path with another one here, Snow. It is produced by CR Snow. And this company is a joint venture between SABMiller and China Resources Enterprises.
The company’s $20.8 billion sales revenue mostly comes from this leading brand. China Resources Enterprises itself contributes a 6% of global market share. And SABMiller contributes a slightly higher percentage, 9.7%. Now, it is a part of another beverage company, AB InBev.
Unlike most bestselling beer brands, Snow is only sold in China. Even though it has more than one tough competitor, CR Snow is brewing more than 100 million hectoliters in one year alone.
If we only look at the volume of sales, Snow is actually the bestselling beer brand in the world. But to be fair, it could only happen because some of the world’s top varieties of brands are considered as individual brand instead of one unit.
