8. Seiko Orange Monster
Seiko Orange Monster is as it is advertised: orange and monster-like. The color orange can clearly be seen on its dial. I assume it represents the color of airplane’s black-box, in case you lost the watch to an octopus while you are diving.
And the word monster represents its toughness and strength. Seiko Orange Monster can survive water pressure up to 200 meters deep. And even without high-maintenance, this watch can also withstand any kinds of abuse you may face during a dive.
Unfortunately, that word also represents its look. It is not as pretty as you would expect from a $240-worth of watch. But hey, who needs pretty wristwatch when you go deep into the water?
Seiko sits on 7th rank in terms of both bestselling watch brand and largest global watch manufacturer. The Japanese watchmaker contributes to a worldwide 3.4% market share. That almost doubles another Japanese watchmaker’s market share, Casio. However, it is still a little short compared to its main comrade competitor, Citizen, which we will discuss on the following page.
