9. Too dangerous to drive
Italian super cars, such as Ferrari, have faced a lot of stereotypes for a long period of time. One of them is the fact that it will catch on fire.
This was based on an actual fact. In 2012, there were over one thousand Ferrari 458 cars recalled because of flammability issue. The adhesive used to hold the car’s inner fenders in place turned out to be highly flammable. This issue was fixed, but the joke remains.
The joke keeps going only because there were no deaths or major injuries reported because of this flaw. Nevertheless, the Italian manufacturer had put millions of lives at risk.
Even with that aside, super cars in general are able to generate an extreme high speed. That has danger written all over it. If you are not a great driver, just get a regular car for the sake of everyone’s safety.
