Nicolas Cage is the most famous person on the list of celebrities who lost their homes to the bank and he is probably the most unlucky one on the list.
The Hollywood star was featured in many blockbusters and his net worth gave him the opportunity to buy real estate properties like castles, medieval mansions, islands, spending more that he was earning.
The IRS made a complaint on his behalf and stated that he owned the state $6,2 million for the year 2007 and another $350,000 in the early 2002 and 2004.
The thing is that these debts made him lose credibility in front of the bank and after some lawsuits where he was found guilty of spending more than he made.
The bank caught up with him and made him sell his house in Bel Air.
Trying to give it with the whopping sum of 35 million he didn’t have any offers and the bank gave it to auction.
The house had 4 loans on it, totaling 18 million but eventually it went for $10,5 million after the first auction that didn’t work so good.
