Known by her stage name Lana Del Rey, the 29-year-old American singer Elizabeth Woolridge Grant released in 2010 her first digital album entitled ‘Lana Del Ray’.
And people loved her from the beginning!
2 years later, she released her second studio album, ‘Born to Die’, which debuted at #1 on the US ‘Billboard 200’ and it was the 4th best-selling album of that year.
Since the beginning of her career, Lana Del Rey earned several awards and nominations, such as the Q Award for ‘Best New Thing’, a GQ Award for ‘Woman of the Year’, 2 BRIT Awards for ‘International Breakthrough Act’ and ‘International Pop Female Solo Artist’, an EMA for ‘Best Alternative Act’ and 2 Grammy nominations at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.
Before she became so popular, her life was pretty good too. She’s the daughter of Rob Grant, the real estate broker, the President and CEO of ‘Web Media Properties’.
Lana grew up in New York, and she attended a boarding school at a cost of over $40.000 per year.
