President Richard Nixon is one of the biggest names that was accused of having ties with the Mafia, who supposedly helped him in the elections.
The ties weren’t so clear, but proved that Nixon was involved with people who were straight up with the Mafia.
His campaign manager, in the his early days was a lawyer for some of the most important names in the mob world.
As president and prime-minister, he took this well placed lawyer by the name of Murray Chotiner to be his private and delicate advisor who was in contact with the Jimmy Hoffa, New Orleans Mafia boss Carlos Marcello, and Los Angeles gangster Mickey Cohen, all who were asking and giving favours to the newly elected president.
