9. Joan Rivers ($100,000)
The late Joan Rivers was known as a multi-talented American comedian. She was also an actress, writer, producer, and TV host during her 55 years of career before she died two years ago. She was the first woman to host a late night talk show. And as a comedian, she was considered as controversial for her personal and abrasive satirical style of humor.
Joan was open about her plastic surgery. She admitted that she had done multiple surgeries to keep her look younger than her actual age was. She even joked that when she died her body would be donated to Tupperware because of them.
The first surgery she had was rhinoplasty, back in her 1983 college days. Then, she had an eye-lift in 1965. Some more followed after that: face-lift, neck-lift, brow-lift, liposuction, and breast augmentation. According to her daughter, Joan had 348 plastic surgeries. And they had cost her around $100,000.
No matter how often she underwent plastic surgeries, Joan was never satisfied with her appearance. Therefore, she was believed to suffer from body dysmorphic disorder.
