4. Jaden Wheeler and Amaya Selmon – Age 12 & 13
It only took a blender on a hot summer day in Memphis to make these brother and sister start their company.
Jaden and Amaya are the youngest food truck owners in the state, and most likely, from the U.S.
They had to reach $1000 for their mom to realize that the kids needed an “upgrade”. So she upgraded the food-truck to have safety standards if they wanted to get a license from Shelby County Health Department.
And that’s how the bright yellow exterior came to life.
The one who saw the possibilities when the kids’ small business started to grow was their mother who was also the one that purchased the truck.
Stationed in parks around the area or at private events, their food truck offers traditional fast-food snacks like hot dogs and nachos, as well as over 20 snow cone flavors.
