Ciara Is The New Face Of Roberto Cavalli
Have you heard that Ciara is the new Face of Roberto Cavalli Campaign?
The famous hip-hop artist Ciara looks classy in the latest Roberto Cavalli campaign.
Ciara is promoting the Fall/Winter 2015-16 collection through “Ciara’s Kingdom,” the story of a world encapsulated in one room.
Shot by photographer Francesco Carrozzini, the campaign captures the collection’s dreamlike quality, with luxurious fabrics and rich colors adorned by prints designed to “capture the warmth of a starry night with the brilliance of elegant solid colors”.
The center piece of the collection is its long, flowing dresses bearing traces of traditional oriental embroideries offset by modern details.
It is the second music-themed campaign of the year for Cavalli, whose Spring/Summer 2015 photo shoot was themed around the Coachella music festival, featuring stars including the French singer Soko.
Last December the house revealed American rapper Nicki Minaj as its “face”, with the designer praising her “strong sensuality”.
And the 29-year-old takes center stage in a ‘surreal and seductive’ new campaign for the fashion label, which sees her modeling the label’s upcoming fall/winter collection.
The new campaign sees the singer posing on a sand-covered floor in a sea blue-colored room which, according to a spokesperson from the fashion house is supposed to evoke images of a ‘magical sky’.
‘[It is] the story of a world encapsulated in one room,’ the brand’s campaign description explains. ‘A surreal kingdom where the walls look like a magical sky and surfaces enchant with desert volumes and earthy hues.’
‘Shots that capture the seductive energy of a woman ready to build her very own kingdom beyond mere dreams, taking the beauty to the throne of personality.’
The campaign features more than a dozen images of the artist. In a few of the images she can be seen sitting on an assortment of furniture, while in others she poses seductively against a door frame.
The release of the campaign comes just two months after former Pucci designer Peter Dundas was named as the new creative director at Robert Cavalli.
And just minutes after the campaign was unveiled, Ciara took to Instagram to thank her friend Peter for his support.
While this campaign is arguably the most high profile that Ciara has appeared in, it is not the first time that she has turned her hand to modeling.
In the past, Ciara has modeled for Vogue, V magazine, Paper magazine and Adidas Originals.
Although it is a fall/winter collection, the designs still feature several more revealing pieces, such as this underwear set and matching robe.
