While the number of people started to grow from 2006 to the present day to over a half of billion of users, Twitter became a larger market and started to make money also from selling data to companies who used this data to create certain statistic who later are sold to advertising companies.
The best thing about it is that everybody is tweeting and tweeting a lot because in a usual day, Twitter has almost 340 million tweets, being classified one of the top 10 most visited sites on the word wide web.
The fun fact is that Twitter limits it tweet characters to 140 making you be succinct and precise with the chance to tweet another time if you missed something out.
