3. Oman – Debt Deficit: 4.1% of GDP
Oman is a country located on the Arabian Peninsula. Just like most countries there, it has terrain desert, riverbed oases, and long coastlines.
Its port capital, Muscat, is well known as the home of Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the largest in the world.
Oman comes in at number three of our countries with least debt deficit list with public debts of only 4.1% of its $77,779 GDP. Oman has a lot of oil and gas supplies, with its oil supplies estimated to be the 24th biggest in the entire world.
With a population of about only 2 million Omani citizens, the country has been able to use these supplies to finance government operations and keep debts levels very low.
