Who Has the World’s Most Dangerous Weapon?

3. B-41 (MK-41)

This bomb is the largest weapon ever produced by the United States. It has the power to destroy with a yield of 25 megatons TNT. And even though there are other thermonuclear weapons more powerful than B-41, United States claims that this is the most efficient one.

Even though mass equals energy, according to Einstein, B-41 was developed as somewhat lighter considering the force it carries. But since the full yield version has never been used or tested, that remains as rather a theory.

B-41 was used in military service of the United States Strategic Air Command from 1961 until it was retired in 1976. There were 500 of them made. It was eventually phased out of service by new models like B53 nuclear bomb, which is smaller and easier to carry.

B-41 is currently being displayed at the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Ohio. Of course, it is just the casing. There is no way they would risk storing a deadly weapon around civilians even though it is not active, right?
