Guns, bombs, missiles, we could pretty much see them coming. The bigger the force, the bigger their size. Thus, hiding the fact that you possess huge explosive weapons can be tricky. In other words, people will eventually find out. And the attack will be pretty much expected.
But it is a whole different case when that weapon is a virus. You just need a small container. And you can just keep it in your pocket. People won’t tell what it is until it strikes. And the attack will be unexpected. In fact, we won’t even know we have been exposed to deadly virus until our body reacts. Scary, isn’t it?
Chimera virus was created by combining DNA of more than one microorganism. It is actually being used as vaccines. But it can be tweaked into something deadly: bioweapon. Imagine combining smallpox, anthrax, and Ebola into one single virus. All it needs is just to be released to the open air and it can slowly kill not just a few hundreds of people within the release range, but millions other across the world.
It may sound like a Hollywood-movie plot, but it is possible. The worst part is that these viruses can be made stealth to remain dormant until triggered by a stimulus. And until it is set to attack, there is no way to tell if one has been exposed to this deadly weapon.
