8. Trident II (Trident D5)
While most of us fear shark attack, there is a more dangerous thing underneath the deep blue sea with more powerful force to destroy. You can trick sharks, but there is no escaping from this Trident II once you are locked as a target.
This submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) is not just one of the deadliest weapons, but also most expensive. One unit of Trident II cost around $37 million to produce.
This weapon is the most powerful weapon U.S Navy and Royal Navy ever have (well, that we know of). Powered by three solid-fuel rocket motors, it can carry eight to twelve warheads. And each of them can be independently targeted.
Once it is launched, it can blast around 29,000 kph and chase you down up to 12,000 kilometers. That is nowhere to be matched by any shark in the world. Commonly powered by W88 warheads, Trident II has powerful blast yield of eight to twelve times 475 kilotons.
