5. Christopher Dale Flannery (1948 – presumed 1985)
Christopher Dale Flannery was an alleged murderer of a dozen people. Allegation was as far as it went. He went on trials for several charges but had always been acquitted of those murders.
However, the Australian hitman did serve time in prison for other conviction, rape. In fact, he was only a teenager when he was convicted. He got acquainted to the assassination world after he got out of jail seven years later. Known as Mr. Rent-A-Kill, Chris killed for a living. And he was also involved in Sydney gang wars.
When it comes to gang wars, it will most likely go south on you. And so it did on Chris. One day in 1985, as he was walking towards his house with his wife, they were showered with thirty shots from a blazing rifle. None of them was seriously injured, but the message was well received.
Months after that, Chris went missing. On his way to meet his boss, he could not start his car and decided to take a cab. Since then, he had never been seen again and is presumable dead.
