8. Marinko Magda (born 1963)
Let’s leave New York for a little while and move across to Serbia. Unfortunately, it is not about the former world’s number one tennis player, Novak Djokovic. But it is about one of the most vicious killers in history.
Marinko Magda is a Serbian hitman who is currently serving his time for three charges of first degree murder. But that does not do justice to the real number of murders he has committed.
It is believed that he has murdered around eleven people not just in Serbia, but also in Hungary. It all took place back in 1994. He killed five people in Subotica, Serbia. And he also killed a local confectioner in Szeged, Hungary along with his wife and two children by shooting them to death.
Investigations led to finding more victims, a Hungarian couple and a Croatian man in Kecskemet, Hungary. And based on these three murders, Marinko was sentenced to life. Unfortunately, prior to 1998, life sentence was short. It was only at minimum 25 to 30 years of imprisonment. So, Marinko will be free in 2020.
