2. Stolen Rolex
With $85 million net in his possession, you wouldn’t think Drake would steal a watch or buy a stolen watch, would you?
Well, back in 2012, a lawyer named James McMillan saw the cover of Drake’s second studio album, Take Care. He noticed that Drake was wearing a Rolex watch. And after he looked closely, he claimed that the watch belongs to him.
James said that he took his Rolex to a jewelry store in New York a year prior to this case. He wanted it to be cleaned. But somehow it went missing.
So, when he saw his Gold Rolex Presidential watch on Drake’s wrist, he decided to file a lawsuit. He sued the jeweler for not returning his watch and selling it to Drake instead.
Of course, Drake denied the accusation. He claimed to have purchased the $30,000 watch directly from Rolex. However, controversy is still swirling around the situation.
