4. Aston Martin DB4GT Bertone Jet (Price: $4.2 million)
“The iconic DB4 heralded a new era for Aston Martin and put the company back in competition with other high performance sports car manufacturers.”
The Aston Martin DB4 was a star back in the 1960s. Its retail price was only about $5,000 per unit. But this one right here was sold at Bonhams auction for £3,249,500 (approximately $4.2 million).
This particular DB4 was from 1960 but it has been fully restored by Works Service. Originally, it was coach-built by Bertone, making it extremely rare. It was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, one of the most popular automotive stylists. He was only 22 years old when he created this incredible design.
The car is powered by a 3,670 cc DOHC Straight engine. It can go up to 225 kph of speed. And it goes from standing to 100 kph in 9 seconds. Plus, it was the first car to reach 160 kph in less than 30 seconds.
