6. Emirates Palace, UAE ($3 billion | $3.73 billion today)
The Emirates Palace is a masterpiece situated in Abu Dhabi which rises 72 meters up above the ground and has 6 floors. Amazingly landscaped gardens, over 1.000 hectares, surround this luxurious hotel.
Just look at that wonderful view. If that does not scream “luxury” to you, I don’t know what else. It is the perfect place for a luxury getaway. Plus, you can relax on the 1.3-kilometer long private beach.
Designed by John Elliott, this hotel was built in 2005. The construction cost was $3 billion or $3.73 billion today. Even though it is currently owned by the Abu Dhabi Government, the hotel has nothing to do with governmental activities. It is just a great way to turn the country’s money into business.
There are 394 rooms here available for rent. With its beyond-five-star luxury offers, $300 per night sounds like a good deal to me.
