Tabriz carpets are a one of the most famous carpets, mostly known for their colorful designs and medallion accents.
With a reputation for hosting some of the oldest carpets over centuries, Trabiz are quite expensive.
This particular Tabriz carpet has much darker colors than any others. Sold at Sotheby’s auction, this carpet is quite large measuring in at 19-feet-10-inches by 13-feet-3-inches.
Its size is a major factor when you think about its price.
The late 18th century piece has an estimated value somewhere between $150,000 and $200,000 and the final price proved to be the right one.
