N5. 1957 Ferrari Testa Rossa Prototype: $16,390,000
I know what you are going to say, we talked about this car before & why is it here again? Well, this one is the first on the 34 cars produced.
Basically this was the prototype, from this car the Testa Rossa evolved. At the time it was sold this car got the largest amount of money ever paid for a car in a public auction.
Because it was destroyed in a 1958 Le Mans race this car was a very tricky choice among the buyers. The Ferrari Testa Rossa Prototype was set completely lit on fire twice during the race.
But don’t you think that they would have sold it like that, no. It was fully restored with all the matching numbers for each part and then sold it for $16,390,000 by Goodings & Company in 2011.
