N3. 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB-4 NART Spyder: $27.5 million
This version of the car was only available from a single American dealer, Luigi Chinetti.
This guy asked Sergio Scarglietti and Enzo Ferrari to build a few Spyder. Luigi bought a few them for about $8,000 each.
Funny thing is that NART stood for Chinetti’s North American Racing Team.
They originally wanted to build 25 cars but just 10 were built in 1967 and 1968 making this model one of the most valuable Ferrari cars.
The car which was owned by Eddie Smith was sold in August 2013 for $27.5 million at an auction in California.
Eddie Smith was the only driver of the car; a car which remained in the Smith family for 45 years.
