5. Bugatti 16.4 Veyron ($1.5 million)
The next car from Floyd Mayweather’s garage comes from Bugatti. This Bugatti Veyron was designed and developed in Germany by Volkswagen before manufactured in France, the home of Bugatti.
Even though Bugatti Veyron is not the most expensive, it is arguably the most popular among American athletes and rappers. As discussed in the Most Expensive Cars Owned by Rappers article, some big names in rap industry own this car as well.
This model is powered by 8-liters W16 quad-turbocharged 1,014 PS engine with 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. It was produced from 2005 to 2011. There are only 450 of them in the world.
An interesting fact about this particular Bugatti car was shared by the famous Top Gear’s host, Jeremy Clarkson. He said that the actual production cost of a Bugatti Veyron car was £5 million ($7.5 million), but was sold to customers for just £1 million ($1.5 million). When asked why, he jokingly said that Volkswagen designed the car merely as a “Technical Exercise”.
