3. Ferrari 275 GTB ($26.4 million)
Spoiler alert: the top three most expensive cars from Ralph Lauren car collection are all Ferrari. And we start with this Ferrari 275 GTB, which is the 5th most expensive Ferrari car ever sold in the world.
After the golden era of Ferrari 250, the Ferrari 275 series were produced from the year of 1964 to 1968. During those four years, there were 970 units of this series produced in total. And they were divided into two main categories, the two-cam and four-cam. Ferrari 275 GTB is classified into the two-cam category.
Originally built for racing, there is only two of 1964-original Ferrari 275 GTB sold for street use. One went to Ralph Lauren’s garage and the other one hit the RM Auctions house in California, United States three years ago. That one was taken home by one lucky buyer after a whopping $26.4 million bid.
There are no significant differences between the race cars and these street cars. Both are powered by a 3.3-L V12 engine. The only notable adjustment was done to the tires. The street version is fitted with alloy wheels shod with Pirelli tires instead of Borrani wire racing wheels.
