2. Ferrari 275 NART Spyder ($27.5 million)
The 4th most expensive Ferrari ever sold in the world is the runner up on our list. This one is actually not so much different than the previous one. But this Ferrari 275 NART Spyder represents the 275 four-cam type.
There were only ten of them manufactured. The original model of Ferrari 275 GTB is actually a coupe. But Luigi Chinetti made a special request to the Italian manufacturer to build the open-top version for the North American market in 1967.
One of these rare cars was sold at RM Auctions in California, United States back in 2013. One lucky bidder is now driving this legendary car with his winning bid: $27.5 million. And another one is Ralph Lauren’s.
So, what makes it so special?
If you are familiar with Cars the movie, you would get the idea. You can see that this car looks like the main car-character in the movie, McQueen. Because the character was inspired by this particular car. That is how special this car is.
The legendary Steve McQueen himself was seen driving this car at the Thomas Crown Affair. That is one piece of history!
