3. Oasis of the Seas ($1.3 billion)
By the time Oasis of the Seas was built back in 2009, it became the world’s largest cruise ship. Now it is the second largest after it was surpassed by its own sister ship which you will see later on this list.
This cruise ship is so big that it costs $240,000 on each berth. It took three years for STX Europe Turku Shipyard of Finland to finish this mega vessel for around $1.3 billion.
Ordered in February 2006 and designed under the name “Project Genesis”, it offers a great number of facilities such as casino, miniature golf course, theme park, nightclub, and the list goes on.
Measuring 1,187 feet in length and 236 feet in height, this luxurious cruise ship can accommodate over 5,000 passengers and 2,000 crew members.
