Here we are looking at that astonishing piece of jewelry. With a staggering $200 million worth, A Heritage in Bloom is the most expensive diamond necklace out there. And this necklace has become the crown major of Chow Tai Fook Jewelry Group Limited since it was revealed in September 2015. It was during the marking of 5 year journey of the company.
The design is inspired by Chinese culture and history. Thus, it has two diamond-studded bats as the symbol of good fortune, and two colorful diamond butterflies as the symbol of eternal love.
And this necklace contains 11,551 diamonds and 24 D-color internally flawless diamonds. Among them is the 104-carat centerpiece surrounded by jade. In addition to that, it comprises 72 pieces of mutton fat white jade, 114 pieces of icy green jadeites, and 600 pink diamonds.
Twenty two artisans took 47,000 hours in 11 months to finish this masterpiece. And the 507.55-carat Cullinan Heritage rough diamond itself took three years to cut and polish.
