N2. The Astolat Dollhouse – $1.1 million

Inspired by Alfred Tennyson’s poetry about the Lady of the lake, this Astolat Dollhouse castle was built between 1974 and 1987.
The person who designed the Astolat dollhouse was the miniaturist Elaine Diehl. The result? A dollhouse with 29 rooms with exterior walls intended to create a three-dimensional viewing effect.
Astolat Dollhouse Castle is now on display at the Nassau County Museum of Art on Long Island, New York.
In 2006, the precious dollhouse was valued at $1.1 million making it one of the most expensive dollhouses in the world.
