3Golden Opulence Sundae – $1.000
In 2007, New York’s Serendipity 3 restaurant was celebrating its 50th anniversary and thought to create something special to appreciate the moment.
And for a restaurant that used to be frequented by Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Kennedy, it had to be something lavish.
So, they created a $1000 sundae that was listed as the Guinness Book of World Records’ most expensive dessert. They broke their own record a year later, but we didn’t got there already.
The question that everyone wants to ask is what could possibly make that sundae so special? Well, is the world’s most expensive chocolate, Amedei Porcelana and rarest Venezuelan Chuao chocolate enough for you?
Probably not. But what about 24-karat edible gold, gold dragnets and dessert caviar topping?
Yes, this dessert has all that, plus, almonds coated in gold and candied fruit from Paris soaked for many months that cost $100 per pound, are sprinkled upon the delicious frozen vanilla cream.
Anyone can try it, but if you want to order it, make sure you call with two days in advance because that’s the time it takes to be made.
